Community Outreach and Education

**SACIS and CAISA school programs meet ERIN’S LAW Requirements for Schools**

  • SACIS and CAISA offer community education that is available to to everyone and all schools and community functions.
  • SACIS and CAISA community educators obtain specialized training on topics relating to sexual violence and maintain their level of expertise through ongoing training.

School Programs

Programs begin at the Preschool/Head Start level and continue through High School.  SACIS and CAISA provide area schools with programs on a variety of topics that include (but are not limited to) the following: body safety; healthy vs. unhealthy dating relationships; awareness and prevention of sexual abuse, sexual assault, and sexual harassment; bystander intervention; and internet safety.

University Programs

Offered at Eastern Illinois University, Lake Land College, Lincoln Train College and Wabash Valley College, programs reflect current pressing sexual violence issues that impact all students, the college community, and the community at large.

Community Programs

A variety of community programs are available to any agency or community group, and churches.  Topics range from Internet Safety 101 for parents to Sexual Harassment in the Workplace.  We welcome any topic upon request.

Professional Training

SACIS and CAISA are CEU/CPDU providers for many professional associations and can adapt programs to meet the needs of any organization wanting to train or education staff.

Community Outreach

SACIS and CAISA actively participate in many resource fairs such as school registrations, EIU Safer Spring Break Fair, Lake Land Health Fair and Festival of the Young Child.  Come by and see us!
