Children will learn that sexual predators look like everyone else. Many online predators disguise themselves with fake pictures and profiles. They will also pretend to be a different gender or age to match the child’s need online. The will frequently pretend to know someone the child knows.
Phones via texting or calls present opportunities for predators. Children will be directed to tell their parents or a trusted adult if they receive any unusual friend requests, unknown phone numbers, or any weird interaction during texting, phone use or online and safety tips for not engaging someone that draws suspicion.
