Walk A Mile Event:
Date of the event: April 7th-April 30th
- Walk A Mile
- While still practicing social distancing, go out and walk for survivors. This is a free event, but make sure to register at our firstgiving site: https://www.firstgiving.com/event/SACIS/7th-Annual-Walk-a-Mile-in-Their-Shoes-Goes-Virtual . By signing up you will receive a certificate of completion! Don’t forget to share a picture of you on your walk and tag SACIS on Facebook!
- Shoe Decorating
- Decorate a pair of shoes and share a picture of them by tagging SACIS on Facebook. Don’t have a pair of shoes to decorate? Use this coloring page instead! https://docs.google.com/document/d/14ecVDTO_hJA5Qu-cPMuDlg2LKCuXXPOopFboONBsXC4/edit
- Poster Decorating
- Decorate a poster with a theme that revolves around consent, walk a mile, or supporting survivors.
- Start by Believing

Chalk Art Competition:
Date of the event: All Month!
- Details
- The message needs to revolve around how to ask for consent, what consent means, or a supportive message to survivors
- Put these hashtags in your art #sacis and #sacischalkart2020
- One image per person can be submitted.
- Image must be submitted by April 15th by 5pm. The following week the images will be posted on Facebook for our community to vote on.
- The deadline to cast your vote is April 29th at 5pm.
- Winner will be announced on April 30th
- Winner will receive a SACIS Swag Basket!
- All submissions should be submitted to Taylor Diskin at empowerment@sacis.org
Weekly Video Series:
- Mindfulness Mondays
- Join our Social Justice and Empowerment coordinator, Taylor, as she teaches different mindfulness techniques.
- Tea Tuesdays
- Have tea with SACIS! Learn how specific types of tea relate to our mission of ending sexual violence and empowering survivors.
- SACIS Story Hour
- Every Wednesday join us at 10am for an educational children’s story time and at 2pm for an adult story time.
- I Ask
- Want to know more about the individual roles that contribute to our SACIS mission? Watch our IAsk videos every Thursday! Each week a different team member will be featured to answer questions and discuss their role. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for how you can submit your own questions!
- SACIS Weekly Wind-Down
- Join our Director of Volunteer Services, Stephanie, every Friday to discuss managing anxiety during COVID-19 and beyond!

- Healing Through Yoga (Client Group)

- Belly Dance with SACIS
- Celebrate your body and relax through movement. Join us every Friday at 4pm! Email Amanda at prevention@sacis.org for the link. All body shapes, sizes, and genders are welcome. No experience necessary!
- Empowerment Through the Arts
- Join us on Facebook Live as we make affirmation cards from 3p-4p
- In order to do this from home all you will need is…
- Paper (any color)
- Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
- Scissors
