SACIS offers free 40-Hr Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Trainings several times throughout the year. These trainings fulfill the state-mandated requirement for volunteers of Illinois rape crisis centers such as SACIS. They are also great opportunities for professionals, advocates, organizations, and community leaders. Topics covered in the training include a brief history of our agency and feminist values, sexual assault laws and policies, rape culture and its roots of oppression, medical advocacy procedures, and more.
